Jackie Kawamoto

Jackie Kawamoto is a doubles specialist who has quickly made a name for herself in professional pickleball. Born and raised in Hawaii before moving to Indianapolis in 2004, Jackie’s passion for sports began with tennis, which she played competitively alongside her twin sister, Jade Kawamoto. The sisters dominated the Indiana high school tennis scene, winning the state championship in 2013. Jackie continued her tennis career at the University of Dayton, where she majored in biology and competed on the university’s Division I tennis team.In 2019, Jackie and her sister were introduced to pickleball by their father, and the pair immediately fell in love with the sport. Their strong chemistry, honed over years of playing tennis together, translated seamlessly to the pickleball court. Jackie’s precision, sharp reflexes, and tactical intelligence make her a standout in doubles, where she is known for her ability to set up winning plays and control the pace of matches.Fun Facts:- Jackie and her sister, Jade, are identical twins, and their uncanny coordination often leaves opponents guessing who hit the winning shot.- She works full-time as an Assistant Coordinator of Championships and Alliances at the NCAA while competing professionally in pickleball.- Jackie and Jade host pickleball tournaments to support Alzheimer’s research, combining their passion for the sport with philanthropy.
